A Zine of Youth Poetry on Christmas Island
The result of a month-long poetry course at Christmas Island District High School, "Our Island, Our Future" is a print and digital zine that collects the voices of sixteen youth poets from Christmas Island. In a time where the economic, environmental, and social future of Christmas Island is very much an open question, "Our Island, Our Future" uses the imaginative lens of poetry to more closely examine Christmas Island's rich past, present, and future through the lens of young writers who are preparing to live it.
